I’ve been wanting to get back to donating blood. The pandemic got in the way of doing so and now that I’m vaccinated I’ve been itching to get back.
The other day a friend posted something about being an O positive donor and 38% of the population share their blood type. That got me to thinking, “I wonder how many people are aware of how common their blood type might be.” Being aware of the fact that not just everyone can donate blood, should you need it, has always been a reminder to me to take the opportunities to share something of myself with someone in need.
