Awaiting our December 3 specialist’s appointment and with no major projects on at the moment I’m enjoying life and catching up on my reading. I’ve been plowing through about a book a day, and enjoying the literary break to the hilt. Lately it’s been more Patricia Cornwell and James Patterson but I’ve got about 18 books in the cupboard waiting to be seen to.
It turns out that we never made it to the Holiday Folk Festival — after all that wind-up about it. Peg had been struggling with a bad cold and having spiked a fever we decided being out with other people and being in the cold was not a good idea.
I spend a few minutes most days looking for some possible campgrounds for the winter but I’m still quite ambivalent about our destination. Oddly, I’m looking forward to the Spring and Summer in Spring Valley more than figuring out a destination for the next few months — may not be rational but that’s me.
We ARE looking forward to spending time with the family on Turkey Day and afterwards. Mel and her beau are due in Milwaukee the day after Turkey Day and Peg & I are taking the whole gang to Polonez — our favorite local Polish Resto. And perhaps getting a chance to help decorate the tree at Mike & Katy’s.
Not too much today. Thanks for stopping by and I’ll talk with you tomorrow.
