Doors As A Personal Statement

Posted in Uncategorized by Peter on 22, March 2008

 Oh, for a summer’s day.

But the real reason for this bucolic French door is to encourage you to think about your own doorway.  We take them for granted, but whether brightly painted, dingily weathered, flanked by flowers, or guarded by a mangy dog,  our doorways  say a lot about who we are.

Next time you run to the store and buy something to spruce up your living room …  maybe consider spending a couple buck to make your gateway to the world look more interesting.

This delightful old lady happened to be sitting here working on a little lace work.   Weathered skin, somber faced when left on her own — but upon striking up a conversation she was as bright of mind and shiny in personality as a newborn.

I  love old people (better watch how I say that — someday I’ll be one too!)

Is there a sight more cheery than a field full of sunflowers?

Sometimes when I’m faced with less than happy news the only way to get through is to look at something wonderful and realize that nothing lasts forever.

Frank, we love ya…. Get better.
