Cancer Survivors

Ten years ago my mother passed away as a result of late diagnosed uterine cancer. It took some time for me to get over the loss; and then to sort out how I felt about it; and finally to decide what I wanted to do about it. I have known so many cancer survivors who’s illness resulted in their being abandoned and neglected and shunned by family and friends who understood too little about the disease or who thought they might “catch” cancer.

I have started a special photo project aimed at portraying cancer survivors as the bold, determined, sexy, desirable people that they are — and which their disease often tends to intensify. Coming to terms with a serious illness and beating it has an amazing way of putting life, love, desire and priorities into perspective. Participation is open to men and women. The project involves a short interview and a subsequent photoshoot. If you are interested, please contact me.
